Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 often referred to professionally under the surname Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. She began to gain recognition. Her first studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet in 2012, as she dropped her first mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. She continued to upload her music online in 2014 and released her own single Bound. In 2015, she appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album in the track "Sweat it out" on 21st July. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew back then was interested in having her perform on Rihanna and Rihanna-related songs. On December 8that she was made an agreement with Dreamville Records.
