Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, born on March 26, 1991 often referred to professionally under the surname Ari Lennox, hails from Washington, D.C. and is the first female artist to sign with J. Cole's Dreamville Records label. The debut EP Pho, released which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. She began to gain recognition. Her first studio album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox started uploading her music onto the internet in 2012, as she dropped her first mixtape, Five Finger Discount and debut EP Ariography in 2013. She continued to upload her music online in 2014 and released her own single Bound. In 2015, she appeared in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album in the track "Sweat it out" on 21st July. J. Cole, who was part of the Dreamville crew back then was interested in having her perform on Rihanna and Rihanna-related songs. On December 8that she was made an agreement with Dreamville Records. She appeared on the joint album Revenge of the Dreamers II which featured the track Backseat alongside Cozz. The singer released Pho, her debut EP, on October 21st, 2016. Ari Lennox then appeared as the opening performer for J. Cole on his track Change in the year 2017 and performed on 4 Your Eyez Only Tour. In 2018 she went on to appear on two of her songs along with label-mates EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox's album debut Shea Butter Baby was released on July 16, 2018. The album's first single, called Whipped Cream The album's first single, Whipped Cream dropped on September 5, 2018 with the music video. In November, she released the singles 40 Shades of Choke & Grampa. On November 13, she released two additional singles called No One and Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby was released in her debut single the 26th of February, 2019, for the album Creed II. Shea Butter Baby appeared together with Cole on The Creed II sound track on the 16th of November. On February 20, 2019 an official music video made available for the song. It has already received over three million viewers on YouTube within the first week. In December 2018 she took part in the From East Atlanta With Love Tour featuring 6LACK.
